The Goldsmith’s Company exhibition, ‘Treasures of the English
Church’ is to be held in London, 30 May –12 July and will include items from St Barnabas usually stored in Christ Church Treasury. This is a good opportunity to view the remarkable and extremely rare silver Russian chalice and paten from Pryluky, dating from 1658, given to St Barnabas by the Earl of Gainsborough (a relative of Fr Noel) in 1869.
