High Mass for the Feast of Pentecost

The Feast of Pentecost is the celebration of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, as recorded in the Acts of the Apostles, in the New Testament. Being 50 days after Easter Day, it marks the end of the Easter season (Paschaltide) and the Church then moves towards the Feasts of the Holy Trinity, Corpus Christi and the Sacred Heart, before gently falling into Trinity-tide.

Pentecost is the last day when the Paschal Candle is lit in the Sanctuary. After this date it takes its place at the Baptistry/Font, the place of Baptism.
