Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi is the Festival which celebrates the Sacrament of the Holy Communion, and gives thanks for the gift of the Eucharist/Mass. Each year the celebration occurs on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday and the Sunday following. The festival is characterised by a procession and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at the end of Mass, honouring the presence of our Lord under the form of simple bread and wine. We give thanks for the Sacramental food for our daily pilgrimage. Join us for three special services for this Festival:

Thursday 19 June at 6.30pm: High Mass at Pusey House followed by Procession to St Barnabas and Benediction at St Barnabas.

Sunday 22 June at 10.30am: High Mass at St Barnabas, followed by Procession through Jericho, with a station at Mount Place, returning to St Barnabas for Benediction.

Sunday 22 June at 6.30pm: Compline with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
