All Souls' Day: Fauré Requiem

A liturgical performance, with chamber ensemble, of the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré. Often called the 'lullaby of death', this soothing piece of liturgical music will take place on All Souls' Day, when we traditionally ask God to remember all those who have died.

Stainer Crucifixion

A meditation on the Sacred Passion of the Holy Redeemer by John Stainer. Composed in 1887 Stainer's work has become a classic of the Anglican Repertoire; performed regularly throughout the first half of the 20th century by the Church choir, the first documented performance in St Barnabas took place in 1906.

A series of meditations on the Passion through the Stations of the Cross, designed by Peter Rauth, and installed in St Barnabas in 1902. Meditations from Fr Christopher Woods, the Vicar and Dupre's organ masterpiece played by Tom Edwards, Director of Music and Martin Payne, Organist.
